Accessing notification settings

On mobile: Profile → Settings → Notifications

Customizing activity reminders

Daily wellness nudge

  • Frequency: Daily, weekdays only, or off
  • Time: Choose preferred time (8 AM default)
  • Message style: Motivational, simple, or minimal
  • Days: Select specific days of week

Goal reminders

Per-goal settings:

  • Enable/disable individually
  • Choose timing (morning, midday, evening)
  • Set frequency (daily, every other day, weekly)

Streak protection

Do Not Disturb / Quiet hours

  1. Enable Quiet Hours
  2. Start time: 9:00 PM (default)
  3. End time: 7:00 AM (default)
  4. Days: All days or select specific

During quiet hours:

  • No push notifications sent
  • Emails still delivered
  • In-app notifications work normally
  • Critical alerts exempt (security, billing errors)

Platform-specific settings

iOS notifications

  1. Settings → Kivly → Notifications
  2. Allow Notifications: On
  3. Alert style: Banners or Alerts
  4. Sounds, Badges, Lock Screen: Customize
  5. Notification Grouping: Automatic

Android notifications

  1. Settings → Apps → Kivly → Notifications
  2. Show notifications: On
  3. Notification categories:
    • Activity Reminders (set importance)
    • Progress Updates (set importance)
    • Community (set importance)
    • Account Alerts (set importance)

Web browser notifications

Enabling:

  1. Kivly will request permission
  2. Click "Allow" in browser prompt
  3. Desktop notifications enabled

Troubleshooting notifications

Not receiving notifications

Check:

  1. App notification permission (device settings)

iOS specific:

  • Settings → Notifications → Kivly → Allow
  • Focus modes not blocking

Too many notifications
